Writing Conventions

Throughout this guide I have adopted the convention of enclosing Eldar language in [] marks, and putting translations in italics. This is the case even when the Eldar is standalone. I have also adopted the same convention in emails and other communication.

For clarity I generally do not collapse compounds, prefixes or suffixes, instead separating them with dashes. For example I would write [i-riuway] instead of [iriuway]

On these pages text enclosed in [] marks is automatically annotated with the dictionary definition of each word.

Gesture and Tone

Gesture and tone annotations are indicated immediately following the affected word using parenthesis. For example: [cait(passive)]
