Tournaments
Students
who would like to participate in competitive chess may enter
tournaments. Members of the Gulledge Knights are not required to
compete, but may choose to enter as many or as few competitions as
they wish.
The
2001-2002 tournament schedule will be included in the packet of
information given at the Newcomer meeting on August 16th. All
tournament information will be given at that time. Please continue
to check this site for updated tournament information and pictures.
In our
first year, the Gulledge Knights had a successful year. Our students
participated at the SuperNationals
II National Chess Tournament in Kansas City on April 28th. One team earned 19th place in the nation in the K-3 Junior
Varsity Section. Way to go, Knights!
