Aging Hipster to Start a Band

Pathetic and aging hipster looking to start a band. My last longer term band situation was in the early 90s with a local dallas area group called House Without Walls. We gigged mostly in Deep Ellum at Club Dada and Trees. I like improvisation, indie rock, funk, world music, hip-hop, jazz, blues and bands like Radiohead, the Cranberries, Kool and the Gang, PJ Harvey, Soundgarden, Red Hot Chili Peppers, the Sundays, Guided by Voices, Soul-Junk, Parliament/Funkadelic, Beck, the 77s, Pedro the Lion, Soul Coughing, Over the Rhine, Earthsuit, Incubus and Rage Against the Machine. What kind of stuff are you into? I'm looking for other Christians that are extremely serious about their Christianity and their art. I prefer strong song-writing chops as opposed to strong performance chops and want to have an extremely eclectic and experimental band. I am also totally unwilling to have yet another all white band and especially would like to see african-americans reply to this advertisement. Have you heard of affirmitive action or racial reconciliation? I play guitar/guitar synth and I would like to have the final instrumentation that follows;

• Bassist
• Drummer
• An additional Guitarist or two
• DJ/MC (I want both rapping and spinning skills.)
• Vocalist (If you also do one of the above well it will be a plus.)

If you are a drug user then in my opinion you're not serious enough about Christianity or the arts to be a part of this group so please don't waste my time. Rehearsals should be in Allen or maybe Plano.
