The word game has a double meaning in roleplaying.
1.
A game is another term for a roleplaying system.
2.
A game refers to a particular grouping of people meeting together to play a particular campaign or adventure. Thus a roleplayer might say "I am in five games at the moment.", to mean that he is a member of five different groups with different sets of characters playing different dventures. The term 'group' can be throught of as a synonym of 'game' in this context.In general a specific name will feature a group of players, with an equal number of player characters and a Games Master, playing an adventure based upon a games system.
