Curses are spells used to bring the wrath of God upon those that offend against him or his church. A curse is less likely to affect a holy or pious man, but there have always been tales of one Priest striking down another with some ague or malady. The Curse is one of the most potent weapons of the Church. A Priest who curses someone wrongly can expect retrebution from the curch twofold.

Curse (M/H) [ prayer/ritual (second form), congregation (priests only), enhance cost ]

The Curse prayer brings minor misfortunes, such as blighting of crops, boils, aches, pains and agues. The Curse must be pronounced upon its target when it is present. A person subject to a curse may resist with IQ (+will) + Sanctity. Such minor curses usually have only a short effect, often wearing off when the target confesses or pays for his sins.

1 sec, 4 fat - The Curse can be pronounced upon someone in combat, usually someone who attempts to attack the Priest. Common curses are spasms of muscles, itches, stabbing pains, blindness etc. Such physical curses are resisted by HT + will + sanctity, and will wear off in a few seconds.

1-5 minutes, 2-10 fat - A more complex and permanent curse will take a varying ammount of time. The more complex or damaging the curse the greater the time and cost. Such curses may also incur a penalty to the Priest's cursing skill level.

Curse of weakness (M/H) (pre-rq. curse) [ prayer/ritual ]

The subject of this curse is stricken with weakness and has a negative modifier to ST equal to half the amout the prayer is made by. Each round they may make a roll of HT -3 to shake off the effects. 1 sec, 3 fatigue

Curse of darkness (M/H) (pre-rq. curse) [ prayer/ritual ]

The subject of this curse is stricken with blindness, if he fails a contenst of HT + Will with the Priest uttering the curse. Each round they may make a roll of HT -3 to shake off the effects. 1 sec, 4 fatigue

Curse of fear (M/H) (pre-rq. curse) [ prayer/ritual ]

The subject of this curse is stricken with unreasoning fear, if they fail a fright check against the amount the prayer was cast by. Each round they may make a roll of Will -2 to shake off the effects. 1 sec, 3 fatigue

Curse of barenness (M/H) (pre-rq. curse) [ prayer/ritual ritual (second form) ]

The subject of this curse is stricken with barenness. Neither animal nor woman affected by this curse can conceive child for a period of three months. If cast on a plant then the plant will not bear fruit, blossom, or nut for the period of a year. The curse can also be used on a whole field or forest to render poor crops and a sickly plants. 30 secs, 4 fatigue for a person/plant/animal, 30 mins, 7 fatigue for a field

St. Gunnhild : 14th Octem

Major Curse (M/VH) (pre-req. Curse at 15) [ prayer/ritual ]

The more potent curses are the province of this prayer, blindness, deafness, illness, death and more. This curse is usually cast as a ritual with a number of Priests all concentrating on the same results. It is resisted as Curse, with each extra priest also adding a -1 to the resistance roll.

- To curse an area, such as will bareness, costs 5 fatigue per square yard. This can also be cast as a ritual, with the priests slowly pacing out the area to be cursed.

Geas (M/VH) (pre-req. Curse) [ prayer/ritual ]

A geas is a ban placed by the curch on two or more people to seal a contract or agreement. Should the agreement be broken the magic can strike down the offenders. Those who seek a geas to seal a contract should ensure that that it is very carefully worded. 5 mins, 6 fatigue per 1d damage taken by each party if the contract is broken. Add 1 fatigue and -1 skill for each person after the first 2
