Hans' Diary : Edinburgh (5)

Before I take whatever shortcut the Templars have to Egypt to continue my search I decide to do a little research. David and Victoria have lots of books on Egypt, which makes me realise that there are a lot of places to look for this Chalice, but I get an inkling that I needed to follow the trail of the Templars across the desert. I decide that I need to head for Upper Egypt and the temples that the tourists don't see!

I decide that I need a little bit more first hand research, so Heinz runs me over to the National Museum so I can have a good look at the Egyptian gallery.

This lovely building runs the whole length of Chamber's street, and features a huge new building opened only a few years back as well as this Victorian masterpiece of a main hall. Its the National Museum of Scotland, and it turns out that Heinz is a member so we get to go to all the exhibitions for free. It also turns out though that the Museum itself is free, I approve!

I take a little break by the side of the pool in the main hall ... the locals look interesting but I don't think I'll try any fishing!

The Museum is large and I end up in the wrong gallery ...

But eventually I get to where I want to be and get down to some serious research.
