Night falls over the desolate rocks, and Ina still has not found any sign of her men. Can they all be dead? She dares not go back to the site of the fight, in case any of the attackers remain. As she sits before her fire she concludes at last that the only thing she can do is go on. She has a duty to her Duke and she will fulfil it.
