I wasn't happy with the thought of a flat roof for this house, so I made my own roof. This consists of a pyramid of plasticard that sits just inside the crenellations. The roof is painted red, and then decorated with lines to give it an effect of being tiled. With a lot more effort strips could have been glued on to make actual tiles, but in practice this effect (which also took a long time) seems to work.

Because it was difficult to get a strong join along the edges of the roof pieces it has a number of internal butress parts along the corners.
