This is base that the house is made of. which raises the whole building about a centimeter and a half. Like most of the buildings its made of heavy plasticard painted grey. Tabs on the top allow castle walls to be attached to the base. In the interests of reusing the base I made it with a removable floor, constructed from a square of vinyl stuck down to heavy paper. This sheet (illustrated below) gives a wood effect but obviously other sheets could give different floor effects.
