(and other fun ways to spend a delightful afternoon)

Martin-Baker Mk-H7 Ejection seat

Looking for that extra special something to add to your latest model of the Phantom? Our friend,Ted Schnitzler has designed the best after market ejection seat I have ever seen. Done in 1:33 scale, this can be adapted to nearly any model on the market that uses the Martin-Baker Mk-H7 series ejection seat system. The two schemes offered are in the USAF and the US Navy with both included in the kit. This two page kit including brief history, parts and instructions (written and diagrams) for the paltry sum of $2.00

Daimler-Benz 601

The first of what we hope is to be a long line of engine kits to add to that special build you have done. This Daimler-Benz 601 was used in many of WWII Germany's aircraft all throughout the war in several versions. From the early fighter planes to the bombers this engine saw much service. Used in a stand alone display, in a diarama with a plane being serviced or added to a model with an access panel opened this kit is well worth the cost and long over due.

Clerget-9b

Used in Sopwith Camel, Triplane, Baby and the 1 1/2 Strutter, the Clerget 9b developed a whopping 130 hp. Clergets were made in 110-hp and 130-hp models, however the 130 may have been a little overdeveloped, since it was subject to overheating.

Gnome Monosoupape

Powering some of the early British aircraft such as the De Havilland D.H.2, and the Vickers F.B.5 Gun Bus, the 9 cylinder Gnome Monosoupape has secured it's position in history. Packing 100 hp and providing speeds from the low 90's up to 115 mph range. In these two aircraft, mounting the engine rear of the fuselage permitted the use of a fixed, forward-firing machine gun before the advent of the synchronous machine gun as well as the movable gun on the Vickers. This power plant was also used in other craft as well.
