The Wedding Party
BRIDESMAIDS, MAID OF HONOR AND FLOWER GIRL: The women and girls wore red taffeta, white gloves, white satin shoes. Pearls for Susan Hands and Laura Hendricks (Bridesmaids, Donna's sister, and friend), open heart gold necklaces for Melissa (Maid of Honor, Donna's daughter) and Joanna Carter (Flower Girl, Jeff's niece) Melissa and Joanna also wore white dress socks with lace edges and a red ribbon rose at the back... red and white carnations in their hair, bouquets of red and white carnations and roses as well as cascading ivy and baby's breath. The Flower Girl Basket was white with red roses, ivy and baby's breath on the handle, and it was filled with white rose petals.
BEST MAN, GROOMSMEN AND RING BEARER: The men, John Johnston (Best Man, friend of Jeff's), Jon Carter, and Chuck Minear, (Groomsmen, Jeff's brother, and friend) and Stephen Hands (Ring Bearer, Donna's nephew, Sue's middle son), wore black tuxes with red taffeta cummerbunds and bow ties... single white rose boutonnieres with leather leaf and baby's breath.
GROOM: Jeff wore a black tux, black cummerbund and bow tie... single white rose boutonniere with two stephanotis, baby's breath and leather leaf.
BRIDE: Donna's gown was white satin with a low sweetheart neckline, fitted bodice with long "illusion" sleeves, all sequined and pearled with lace inset. Drop-front waist, low v-neck back with a large bow at the waist, cascading down into a cathedral length train (about 8' long) with inset pearled/sequined lace cut-outs throughout. The hem was scalloped lace with an inverted "v" of pearled/sequined lace in the front.... her bouquet had 12 white roses, 6 white carnations, 6 stems of stephanotis, and it cascaded down with baby's breath and ivy.
Something OLD: Donna's mother gave Jeff her grandma Turner's white hanky in case Donna cried at the altar
Something NEW: Donna's dress, her necklace (pearls with a W of gold hanging in the front with a pearl drop in the center... and matching earrings)
Something BORROWED: Donna's shoes didn't feel at all comfortable for some reason, and so, luckily, Sue had brought a pair of white flats and she wore those! (nobody even SAW her feet anyway!!)
Something BLUE: Wide light blue ribbon through lacy white garter which also had a satin rose and pearls
