A faint shimmer of gold flits across the sky.
A yellow beam splits out, patching the fields below.
An orange glow settles on the fluffy clouds nearby.
The mountains are silhouetted with shades
of dark green and black.

Clouds sink, and a glorious snowcap regally rises.
The trees bow and applaud in honor.
A bright streak of blinding, yellow-white lifts,
simmering above the mountains.

A chirp in the distance awakens nature.
Then there's a whole neighborhood of birds chatting the news.

A short silence follows as the glorious globe of
energetic light bursts in full view,
sparkling on the dewdrops of the evening past
.

No one can stifle the beauty of sunrise.
